Fixing "Skype can't Connect" on skype

The intro you about to read is completely unnecessary and a waste of time maybe, but its my blog and I cant just jump to solutions I need to talk a lot. I see people doing it so am doing it too. I know its boring but I did it any way. lol hahahahahaha

OK! so I can't really take credit for this solution although I form a part of it. I got this solution after a long search on the skype community and getting to the solution again was extremely difficult cos the posts are many and the solution that works are very few. my idea of sharing it here again is so it becomes enough for others to get to.

Don't rush me! I've got it! I've got the solution;

If you are having the "Skype can't connect" issue, you need to, at login screen go to options.

On windows you can get to options through the menu below the title bar tools -> options and on linux you need to right click the icon around the taskbar (yea I know! its shameful taskbar in linux) and select options. they should both lead to similar or same windows.

now from there;

Enter any number between 1024 - 3128 as the port for incoming connections.

Select HTTPS Connection

Enter 213.154.203.148 for the Host

Enter 3128 for the Host Port

Save this and quit skype.

restart skype and login. that should work perfect.

In case this does not work for you maybe you are missing something or we are about to discover a new solution for others so please comment below and I will work it out for you.

Lets Skype!!!
